CONSTITUENTS
Mineral salts (calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, sodium, silica, zinc ....).
Vitamins (Vitamin C, carotene, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, choline, folic acid, pantothenic acid, D, E and K).
Isoflavones (genistein, biochanin A, daidzein and formononetin).
Coumarin derivatives.
Phytosterols.
Proteins (enzymes: lipase, amylase, pectinase, emulsin, invertase and prosthetic).
Phospholipids (lecithin and cephalin).
Tannins.
PROPERTIES
Alfalfa is considered a good source of vitamins and minerals.
It has a lipid-lowering activity (decreased levels of blood lipids like cholesterol and triglycerides).
Action contains phytoestrogens (decrease premenstrual symptoms).
Antioxidant.
INDICATIONS
Traditionally used to treat anemia by vitamin deficiencies, mineral and convalescence.
PRECAUTIONS: persons having systemic lupus erythematosus (chronic autoimmune disease) or allergy to the plant because it can react with this type of plant. Do not use if allergic to alfalfa or any plant belonging to his family.

Can be used externally to stop the flow of blood from the nose (using a cotton ball with liquid from the infusion of a silver tablespoon per cup of water dry) and also applied to bee stings or other insects to reduce swelling and pain.
