DESCRIPTION
Stemmed rhizomatous plant in the family Equisetaceae, prinicipal is in the Northern Hemisphere.CONSTITUENTS
Abundant mineral salts (notably silica).
Sterols.
Caffeic acid and phenolic acids: cinnamic, dicafeoiltartárico and 5-0-cafeoilshikimico.
Abundant flavonoids: quercetin and isoquercitrina.
PROPERTIES AND INDICATIONS
Pharmacological Action: mild diuretic (recognized by the Commission E).
Traditionally has been considered as a hemostatic (scar) and remineralizing.
PRECAUTIONS
The use of diuretics is not recommended for children under 12 years, people with hypertension, heart disease, pregnant or lactating. In these cases you should consult your health care professional.
Also, do not consume if allergic to ponytail or a plant belonging to his family.
